The Positest AT-A Automatic Adhesion Tester measures the force required to pull a specified test area of coating away from a substrate using hydraulic pressure. An electronically controlled hydraulic pump automatically applies smooth and continuous pull-off pressure. The pump greatly reduces user effort and the risk of influencing the pulling process.
The AT-A’s built-in rechargeable battery performs over 200 tests per charge. The supplied AC adapter / charger allows you to continue testing with AC power while the battery recharges.

The AT-A is features an environmentally sealed enclosure. It is weatherproof, dustproof and shockproof. Meeting or exceeding IP65 rating.

ATA Self-Alignment Feature

Unequal pulling force during testing caused by uneven adhesive bond lines and coating surfaces can result in random, unexplainable readings. To obtain more repeatable and meaningful adhesion measurements, it is imperative that the pulling force applied to the test dolly is uniformly distributed over the surface being tested.

Both the PosiTest AT-M manual and PosiTest AT-A automatic models compensate for misalignment. The self-aligning, quick-coupling actuator and spherical articulating dolly head enable uniform distribution of the pulling force over the surface being tested, preventing a one-sided pull-off.

Touch Screen Display

Recording the Nature of the Fracture

Upon completion of a pull-off test, the dolly and coated surface should be examined. In addition to pull-off force, many National and International standards such as ASTM D4541 and ISO 4624 require the nature of the fracture to be recorded.

Cohesive fracture: fracture occurs within a coating layer (same coating on dolly face and coated surface).
Adhesive fracture: fracture occurs at the interface between layers (coating on dolly face differs from surface).
Glue failure: visible separation of the glue from itself, the coating or dolly (no coating visible on the dolly face).

The cohesive and adhesive fracture visual analysis can be recorded using the PosiTest AT-A’s keypad or touch screen display. Alternatively, the information can be reported using the PosiTector App.

Fractures are visually estimated and recorded as a percent of each. The two layer example below illustrates a cohesive fracture within coating layer 1 and layer 2 (visually estimated at 50% each). Recorded results are included in reports.

The new CAP-TNP torque meter is a precision instrument that measures OPEN and CLOSE torque values for various applications. As a cap torque analyzer, the CAP-TNP repeatedly determines bottle closure and breakaway torque. It has a wide memory capacity capable of storing 1,000 data points in addition to Average, Maximum and Minimum values. A HI-LO comparator feature can be utilized for a large batch testing to ensure overall product quality.

The CAP-TNP torque meter is USB capable for computer testing. Combined with the free Digitorq Software, additional analysis and testing can be performed.

The CAP-TNP is a portable device powered with internal rechargeable batteries or through an AC Adpater/charger. Designed with a small footprint it can easily be transferred to maximize use around the shop floor or the laboratory.

The CAP-TNP includes free software to analyze your measurement data. The software is Windows 7 compatible and requires Microsoft Excel.

Series I Electric Screwdriver Torque Tester

The Series i line of torque testers measure the peak torque of non-impact electric/air drivers. Under tightened bolts and screws do not generate sufficient clamp force and can lead to loosening and assembly failure. Over tightening, past the yield point, permanently deforms the screw joint and can also lead to failure which is why proper tightening torque is so important. Manual torque wrenches can also be calibrated.
Unique Smart Adapters
The unique Smart Adapters simulate the screw joint and do not need to be backed-off after each test. This features increases testing efficiency and ease of use by reducing the time between each test. Results can be downloaded through the USB port for analysis with data acquisition software. The Series i torque calibrators are compatible with SW-1SV-USB software.

The peak torque or peak down torque in breakaway tests is captured automatically. The Series i torque calibrator displays Max, Min and Avg statistics. The tester can read values in lbf-in, kgf-cm, N-cm and N-m. What’s Included

All series i torque testers are sold in kit form complete with tester, hard carrying case, 2 driver adapters and AC charger/adapter. All testers come with a 3-Point Certificate traceable to NIST. ISO Certificates are available at an additional charge.

The versatile IT Series torque transducers are designed for precision torque measurement of wrenches, drivers and other applications from 10 oz-in to 5000 lb-ft with ±0.5% (±0.25% optional) accuracy from 10% – 100% of the transducer range. All transducers can be calibrated bidirectionally.

Series MTT02 Torque Tool Testers present a simple and accurate solution for testing manual and electric torque screwdrivers, wrenches, and other tools. These testers are compact and rugged, suitable for production environments. A universal 3/8” square receptacle accepts common bits and attachments. The TT02 captures peak torque in both measurement directions and also calculates 1st and 2nd peaks, useful for click-type tools.
A blazingly fast sampling rate of 7,000 Hz and accuracy of ±0.3% produce reliable and consistent test results. The TT02 includes a range of sophisticated productivity-enhancing features, including USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo, and analog outputs, automatic data output/zeroing/data storage upon tool slip or click, memory storage for 1,000 readings, pass/fail indicators and outputs, and more. Password protection is provided to prevent unauthorized changes to settings and calibration.

Series TT02 testers include MESURTM Lite data acquisition software. MESURTM Lite tabulates continuous or single point data. Data stored in the TT02’s memory can also be downloaded in bulk. One-click export to Excel allows for further data manipulation.

MTM torque testers are designed to provide a precise and economical way to measure and calibrate a wide range of torque tools including manual and powered screwdrivers and wrenches*. Historically, transducers had to be purchased individually and connected to a display via a switch box or a group of cables. With the MTM, up to 4 transducers can be integrated into one compact housing. An external transducer can be connected to further increase the measuring range (requires optional external input).
