When you need to change settings, you can use the Blackmagic Cloud Pod utility that’s available on Mac and Windows. By default, the Blackmagic Cloud Pod is set to DHCP, so you can connect it to your network and start transferring files. In many ways, it plugs in just like a regular

hard disk. That means it’s so easy to setup, you won’t need an IT person to get started! However if you want to customize your network, then the utility software lets you change the network settings in the Cloud Pod. The utility also lets you add Dropbox and Google Drive sync folders.

Each view on a Blackmagic MultiView works as a completely independent video monitor. You get full frame re‑synchronization on all SDI inputs, which means that they can be any video standard and frame rate, and each input is completely independent of the others. You can mix any combination of referenced or non-referenced NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and Ultra HD up to 2160p30 on some models, all on the same display at the same time! It’s like getting 4 or 16 independent monitors in one!

All Blackmagic MultiView models work with HD displays, while the 6G-SDI models also work with Ultra HD displays, so you get maximum compatibility with your existing equipment. That means you can use regular HD displays but you also have the choice to use an Ultra HD monitor for incredible sharpness! Ultra HD has four times the number of pixels of regular HD, so your video will look sharper and

Blackmagic MultiView models feature multi rate SDI inputs with full frame re-synchronization and some models also have separate loop through outputs, making them compatible with your existing equipment. The SDI inputs automatically detect and re-sync SD and HD formats, plus some models also re-sync Ultra HD formats up to 2160p30. You get HDMI and SDI output, and MultiView 16 also includes a reference input connection and blackburst/tri-level sync for studio installations.

You can even adjust settings such as the IP address and output video format right from the front panel!

Teranex Mini Size

Use all theaccessories for Teranex Mini!

MultiView 4 is the same size as Blackmagic Design’s Teranex Mini range of 12G-SDI converters. This means you can use the Teranex Mini Rack Shelf for rack mounting the MultiView 4 and even combine multiple MultiView 4 models on the same rack shelf, or combine with a mix of Teranex Mini converters and MultiViews. The choice is yours! If you are in critical broadcast environments where you need to be able to change settings at any time then you can also add the Teranex Mini Smart Panel. This gives you full access to all MultiView 4 settings in easy to use graphical menus that are simpler and faster to use than the switches on the default panel.

External “Router” Control

Supports Videohub router protocol for easy external control!

MultiView 16 emulates a Blackmagic Videohub router so you get full compatibility with all of the external Videohub software and hardware control panels for routing any of the inputs onto any of the monitoring views! Both models can also be controlled via the included software utility on Mac or Windows computers so you can quickly change settings remotely if access to the front panel is restricted! You can even add on screen labels and other settings remotely!

The two big bright audio level meters on the front panel feature multi colored RGB LEDs under each segment. You can select between VU or PPM or Loudness scales with a choice of EBU or BBC meters. With lots of meter segments you can monitor a very wide dynamic range, from -45 to +3 decibels, -12 to +12, or 0 to 7, depending

on the scale you choose. In addition you can meter Loudness using standard Loudness, K‑weighted, relative to Full Scale (LKFS) to normalize of levels for delivery to broadcast TV and video. The bright audio level meters are always clear enough to read, no matter if you are working in bright or dark environments!
